I had so much fun making Caches 1st birthday cake. Cache loves cars so i thought it would be cool to make him a car cake. He loved it!


Cache was so funny when he ate his cake. He would only eat little pieces at a time. I was a little sad that he didnt just dive right into his cake and get messy. I guess thats my fault because i never let him get messy with his food.





Cache wasnt to excited about opening the presents, but he loved all of his toys. He got so many toys that my living room is now a toy room. I am running out of places to put all of his toys.


Im so glad my baby had a great 1st birthday. It was so nice having my parents here for his birthday. Cache really liked having the extra company. He loves his papa (grandpa Lenny) so much. When he would wake up in the mornings he would go find papa so he could sit on his lap and eat cookies. Cache was sad to see g-ma and papa leave. He cried when papa started walking in the airport. Its amazing all of the new things Cache is learning here lately. He is starting to say a few words and i love hearing him talk. His favorite thing to say is hi dad. He calls all food and drinks gum. He also can say bye, nigh nigh, mom, outside, please, but it sounds like peas. He is learning no and yes. When he says no he shakes his head back and forth. He doesnt say yes yet, but he will shake his head up and down. Instead of pointing to things with his pointer finger he points with his thumb. He loves walking around outside. He tries to pick up all the leaves and bring them home with us.

Cache will be one year old next wednesday. I can not even believe how fast this past year has gone for us. I look at all of Caches baby pictures and feel like i have already forgot so many things. Next week i will post pictures of his birthday party. I just wanted to post a picture of Cache at 2 weeks old so everyone can see how much he has changed..

Little Boys

My baby is almost one. Just another 38 days til his 1ST birthday. I was really looking forward to his birthday until it hit me yesterday.. My baby isnt going to be a baby anymore. My little boy is becoming Mr. Independent. He loves doing everything on his own. He has been such a naughty boy lately. He will only eat if he is the one putting it in his mouth. He doesnt want mommy to feed him anymore. This has been a challenge and a very messy one at that. I swear i have to change his clothes three times a day because all the food he drops on himself. I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. I am so amazed by all the things he is learning everyday. Lately he has been such a meany though. When he gets mad he hits his head on the floor over and over again. If we take something away from him he will start smacking himself in the face. He thinks it is hilarious to kick us. I dont even know where he learned all of this. Logan and I are not like that to him or each other. I think he is too little to pick it up off tv. I really just dont know. I HOPE it is just a phase. I never had any brothers or close boy cousins growing up. I never knew all the things that little boys do. I am really surprised somedays. I know this is just the beginning too. I know that every birthday that passes will amaze me, that i survived another year with a son. I Love having a little boy. I am so blessed to have him as my son. Everyday with him is a great day.

New year already?

WOW! Cant believe its already 2010. This pasy year just went way to fast. This very time last year i was counting down the weeks to be done with pregnancy. This year im counting down the weeks to my babies first birthday. Cache keeps getting more fun everyday. I love him so much and i really am so blessed to be his mommy.

Cache got so many great toys for christmas. His first christmas was so wonderful. Thanks everyone for helping us make it so special. We had such a great time in Utah for the holidays I was glad we got to spend so much time with our families, but said that the time there went so fast. Its good to be back home(our home) because christmas really killed mine and Logans diet. The beginning of december we started being more healthy. I hate using the word diet because a diet is something we all start and stop, but a life change is something we keep doing. We started eating healthier. No more eating out for us. Logan is already a gym rat, but ive been working out alot more too! I lost a whole ten pounds in just a couple of weeks before going home for christmas. My goal for 2010 is to get in my old jeans. My pre-baby jeans. Im laughing at my self right now, but im going to try hard. Im almost there. Going home for christmas set me back just a little. Too many cookies i think. It wouldnt be christmas with out the candy and the tight jeans right? I really do miss Utah and ive only been home a few days. Good thing i have lots of sunshine to take my mind off of being homesick. The weather here in Monterey has been avg. 65 everyday and low 50's at night. Im really enjoying this winter because every winter after this will be full of snow. Cache is sick again. Poor baby. He never gets sick and all the sudden he has got sick 2 times in a row. I wish the viruses would have decide to spread them selves further apart. I really miss getting good sleep. The first time he had H1N1 and this time croup. Neither one has been fun, but i think he is recovering faster from the croup. We took him to the doctor last night and he gave Cache some RX to get better. He also told us to give him popsicles. (Pictures above) We found these mini fruit juice popsicle at the grocery store and they are perfect size for Cache. Hope everyones holidays were wonderful!
